Brand Central Explainer

Creative Services needed an explainer video that would be going on the Brand Central offerings website. My team was tasked to help tell this story in an engaging way. I was the lead designer and animator to help bring this project to life. My role was to storyboard out the script, design the style frames and animate some parts of the video.  This was a fun team project to work on where we were able to collaborate, together and brainstorm from beginning to end.

Ideation

When we first started the project, each person on the team had to interpret the script in their own way.  The sketch on the left was one of the moments that didn't make it into the final but the exercise was collaborative. 

Boards

The next phase, I volunteered to gather the teams ideas and develop it into clean, simple easy to read sketches for stakeholder review.  The image on the right is a snap shot of the presentation we used to tell the story. 

Design

Finally, after getting the stakeholder approvals, it was time to design the style frames with the signature Workday illustration system. Although many of the characters, objects and scenes were in the illustration library, I still had to design and composite new scenes specific to certain moments.
